Women in Rail has appointed five new trustees to its governing board – all key supporters of the charity, which began in 2012.
Mat Baine has spent 10 years as Managing Director of Egis Transport Solutions and has sponsored key WiR events. He is also a judge for the charity’s awards.
Ruth Busby is Regional Co-Chair in the South and has been Great Western Railway’s Human Resources Director since 2018.
Philippa Hinton is Senior Associate at law firm Ashurst specialising in transport and infrastructure projects. She is also company secretary of The Railway Children.
Sarah Reid is WiR Regional Chair in the East Midlands and Network Rail East Coast Route Director.
The final trustee is Gary Smithson, Rail Director at Morson Talent, which has supported flagship events for the charity. Mr Smithson is also a judge for the WiR awards.
